It is fun to study in Buenos Aires as an international student.

But high expenditure may affect your journey there.

But don’t worry. We are here to tell you how you can manage your budget in BA.

Read on!

● Be selective for markets and shops:

There are many markets that sell things on affordable rates. Be aware of the shops that are quite costly. Many vendors provide food and other stuff at prices that will keep your budget within limits.

● Cooking is the best option:

You even can’t imagine how much amount food bills steal from your pocket. Restaurants and canteens will be costly for you as a student. Try cooking yourself. On one hand it will save money, on the other hand homemade food is good for health.

● Try some free or low budget activities:

There are numerous free activities. Don’t spend any extra money on the things that can be available for free or at low prices. You can try some underground tango clubs instead of paying high amounts for tango performances in expensive clubs. Hiking is also the best option to have fun for free. Also, you won’t regret walks on the streets because there’s a blast of street art.

● Travel in Colectivos and save!

Buenos Aires offers the best public transportation network. The city buses, known as Colectivos, are the cheapest option of transportation. Travelling in colecitvos will save you bunches. But make sure that you know all the routes.

● Take advantage of discount cards:

Here are the cards that provide many discounts.

International students identity card:

ISIC card is door to many discounts. This card is very useful. You can avail 50% off on bike city tours, Klica hostel offers 25% discount on accommodation and Hilton Garden Inn Buenos Aires will give you 10% discount on accommodation.

Other cards:

International youth travel card (transport discounts), Tarjeta Guia Oleo (restaurant discounts) are also very beneficial.

Use all the cards in proper way, it will help you in long run.

Good luck!
